As a part of making Sri City inclusive and sustainable, the commercial metropolis directors on Thursday took up a large cleansing exercise in the neighbouring villages.
Numerous personnel together with safety employees, Sri City Foundation members, workers and public led by sarpanch Parvathi Sanyasaiah participated in a cleanliness drive at Chengambakkam village. The drive yielded a considerable amount of plastic waste and different types of rubbish. Surendranath, Executive Officer of Panchayat Raj division, Satyavedu, appealed to the villagers to cooperate with the Panchayat secretary and volunteers in sustaining the requirements of maintenance set by Sri City.
Sri City Founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy known as the drive a major step in making certain hygiene and sanitation, particularly through the pandemic.
“We encourage active participation of the public in maintaining a healthy environment in villages and will give out awards on Independence Day to villages maintaining overall cleanliness,” he stated.
