The State Cabinet on Tuesday has authorised the Andhra Pradesh Electronics Policy 2021-24, which facilitates creation of world-class electronics manufacturing infrastructure to supply a bunch of incentives to cut back the price of doing enterprise within the State.
In an announcement, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, G. Jaya Lakshmi, mentioned the policy was aimed toward reworking the State into a worldwide hub for electronics manufacturing, with a deal with the manufacturing worth chain-assembly operations, electronics elements manufacturing, analysis and growth, semiconductor and show fabrication.
The salient options of the policy framework, she mentioned, included promotion of world class greenfield Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) particularly YSR EMC being developed at Kopparthy in Kadapa district, introduction of a production-linked incentive scheme within the greenfield clusters which dovetails with the Central schemes and incentivises electronics producers who desires to develop their operations within the State and improve their manufacturing, main to greater employment technology.
She mentioned the State was anticipated to profit from this scheme by creating at the least 39,000 direct jobs within the electronics manufacturing sector. A majority of those jobs would create women workforce, thus contributing to women empowerment.
Ms. Jaya Lakshmi mentioned the division was at the moment participating with main electronics producers for institution of their amenities within the State, with a possible of producing 20,000 direct jobs.
