As many as 55 members, together with some from overseas, paid a befitting tribute to playwright and Jnanpith award winner Girish Karnad on his dying anniversary on Thursday, by an entire reading of the memoirs of the late creator, Aadaadta Asyushya.
In the net occasion that started at 6 a.m. on Thursday, members from the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany other than varied theatre and literary personalities and fanatics took their turns to learn out parts from the memoirs allotted to them by Abhinaya Bharati, the Dharwad-based theatre group which organised and coordinated the distinctive tribute.
Abhinaya Bharati president Arvind Kulkarni kick-started the occasion by starting the reading session on the scheduled time.
