MDMK common secretary Vaiko has requested the State authorities to show the portrait of poet Tiruvalluvar in all authorities places of work in the State, together with the places of work of Ministers and MLAs.
Mr. Vaiko stated as per a G.O. issued on June 23, 1967, the Tiruvalluvar portrait sketched by Ok.R. Venugopal Sharma, which was unilaterally accepted by the Union and State governments, was allowed to be displayed in authorities places of work, courts, police stations, faculties, faculties and buses.
“But in the previous AIADMK government, efforts were made to hide the original image of Tiruvalluvar and the portraits went missing from the offices of Ministers. The picture started slowly vanishing from government publications as well,” he stated.
After this, they began to color a picture of communal politics on Tiruvalluvar, he stated.
Mr. Vaiko requested the State authorities to revive the sooner place and show the portrait of Tiruvalluvar in authorities places of work and buses.
